Neither do I condemn you (John 8aq)

John 8:1-11
Key Verse 11b  "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

1.    [7:53-8:2] At the end of the day before what happened (7:40-8:1)?  Early morning, on this day, where did Jesus go (2a)?  Then, what happened (2b)? Discuss what might be the purpose of Jesus in this in view of the event happened on the previous day.
2.    [3-5] At this time, whom did the scribed and the Pharisees brought before Jesus (3)? What did they ask Jesus (4-5; Ref. Deut 22:22)? Why (7:21-23; Mark 2:17)?
3.    [6-7] What was their purpose in doing this (6a; Cf. Mark 2:10)? Then, what did Jesus do (6b)? Why? What did they insist Jesus to do (7a)? Then, what did Jesus do and tell them to do (7b; Ref. Deut 17:7)?
4.    [8-9] What did Jesus do again (8)? Why? Then what did they do (9)? Discuss why they left one by one (Cf. John 16:8-11).
5.    [10-11] Then, what did Jesus ask her (10)? What was her answer (11a)? What would Jesus not do and what did Jesus tell her to do (11)?

6.    Discuss what this event reveals through the Scribes and the Pharisees, the woman, and Jesus in regard to man’s sin and carrying out its judgment.
