Participate in the divine nature (2 Peter 1aq)


2 Peter 1:1-11

1.       [1-2] Who wrote this letter to whom? (1; cf. 1 Pet 1:1-2; 3:1) What did they receive and how? (1b) How good was it? What was Peter’s wish for them? (2) How could it be possible? (2)
2.       [3-4] How had they come to have everything they needed for a godly life? (3) How has he given us his promises? (4a) For what purposes? (4b)
3.       [5-7] What do “this reason” refer to? (5) For that reason, what were they to do? (5-6) Why does it start from faith and end in love? Discuss each quality and divide them into three groups. Also find the significance of each group in regard to the spiritual growth.
