Ruth 2:1-23

Key Verse 12b May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge."

1.       [1-3] On arrival to Bethlehem, what did Ruth ask Naomi (2a)? Why? What was Naomi’s answer (2b)? Where did she happen to glean grains (3a)? Who was Boaz (3b, 1)?

2.       [4-9] As he arrived at his farm, how did Boaz greet people (4)? What did Boaz find out about Ruth (5-7)? What did Boaz he tell her to do (8-9)?

3.       [10-13] What question did she ask him (10)? What was his reason for such favor for Ruth (11; Ref. Gen 12:4;)? What was his prayer for her (12)? Through his answers, what could she find about him?

4.       [13-17] Through her answer, what can we find about her (10, 13)? How did Boaz show his care for her (14-16)?  At the end of the day, how much could she bring home (17)?

5.       [18-23] When Naomi saw how much she gathered and the left-over food, what did she ask her (19)? Why? When she heard that it was Boaz that helped Ruth, what did she come to realize about him (20)? What did Ruth tell about him (21)?
