1.    [1-3] Who were the prophets and teachers in the Antioch church (1)? When and what did the Holy Spirit tell them to do (2; cf. 9:15)? How did they obey this command (3)? What was the significance of this?

2.    [4-12] Where did Barnabas and Paul go and with whom (4,5b; cf. 4:36)? What did they proclaim and where (5a)? Where did they go next and who did they meet there (6-8a)? What did Elymas try to do and why (8)? How did Paul confront Elymas and then what happened to him (9-11)? How did the proconsul respond to this (12)? What does this incident tell us?

3.    [13-23] Where did John leave to return to Jerusalem (13)? Where and how did Barnabas and Paul have an opportunity to speak (14-15)? To whom (16)? What did God do to establish Israel as His kingdom (17-22a)? What was particularly notable about King David in God’s eyes (22b)? Whom did God bring through David’s descendants (23)? According to what promise was this accomplished (cf. 2 Samuel 7:11b-12)? What does all this say about Jesus?

4.    [24-31] What did John testify regarding Jesus (24-25; cf. Luke 3:3-6)? To whom was the message of salvation sent (26)? However, what did his[BJ1]  people do to Jesus (27-29)? Which prophecy did this fulfill (27b, 29; cf. Isaiah 53:4-5)? What did God do for Jesus (30)? Who were witnesses of this (31)?

5.    [32-41] What was the good news Paul delivered to the crowds (32-33a)? What promises did God fulfill by raising up Jesus (33b-35; cf. Psalm 2:7, 16:10; Isaiah 55:3) Based on this, what did Paul proclaim (38-39)? How has Jesus’ death and resurrection brought justification? To whom did this justification come? What warning did Paul give his audience, according to the prophets (40-41; cf. Habakkuk 1:5)?

6.    [42-52] What were the two different responses to Paul’s message (42-45)? Why did Paul and Barnabas turn to the Gentiles (46-47; cf. Isaiah 49:6)? What was the Gentiles’ response to this and what was its effect on them (48-49)? What did the Jewish leaders do because of this and how (50)? How did Paul and Barnabas respond to this (51)?
