Why do you look for the living among the dead? (Luke 24aq)

Luke 24:1-35
Key verse 24:5b, 26

1.    [1-8] When and where did the women go and why? (1; cf. 10) What were they perplexed about? (2-3) Who appeared to them and how did the women react? (4-5a; cf. 23) What amazing news did the men announce? (5b-6a) According to the angels, based on what should they understand about the empty tomb? (6b-7)
2.     [9-12] What did the women do then? (9-10) What was the response of the apostles and all the others? (11) Why? What did Peter see in the tomb? (12a) What did Peter wonder about? (12b)
3.    [13-24] When and who were going to where? (13) What did they talk about? (14) Why did they not recognize the risen Jesus walking along with them? (15-17) What had they believed about Jesus and hoped for him? (19; 21a) How was their hope broken? (20) What might be the causes of their anxiety and uncertainty? (21b-24)
4.    [25-35] What did Jesus rebuke them of? (25) What was the key message of OT that they failed to believe? (26) What did Jesus explain to them? (27) When and how did they finally recognize Jesus? (28-32; cf. 22:19) What did they do then? (33) What was their testimony to the apostles and the others? (34-35)

5.       Why do you think that Jesus accompanied them in disguise explaining all things? Discuss this in view of what happened on the first event, Jesus’ rebuke, demand, and explanation for the empty tomb.
