Take off the grave clothes and let him go (John 11aq)


John 11:1-44
Key Verse 44b Jesus said to them, "Take off the grave clothes and let him go.
1.     [1-3] Who were Lazarus, Mary, and Martha? (Ref. Luke 10:38-42; John 12:1-10) What word did they sent to Jesus? Why?
2.     [4-10] What did Jesus see through this sickness? (4) When did Jesus decide to go back to see Lazarus? (6-7) Why did his disciples oppose this idea? (8; 8:59; 10:31) What was the reason for them not to fear? (9-10)
3.     [11-16] What did Jesus say about Lazarus’ sickness? (11) What did he mean by this? (12-14) What did Jesus intend to convey to his disciples through this? (15) What did Thomas say? (16)  What does this reveal about the minds of Jesus disciples regarding this trip?
