Luke 20:9-19
Key Vere 17b : 'The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone'
1.       [9-12] In this parable, what did a man do? (9) When and why did he sent a servant? (10a) What did the tenants do to him? (9b) When he sent the second of his servant, what did the tenants do?  What about the third one? Why did they treat the servants in such a way? (13b, 16)
2.       [13-15a] What did the owner decide to solve this problem? (13a) for what hope? (13b) Discuss the owner’s character in dealing with the tenants. When the tenants saw the son, what did they talk over? (14a) What did they agree on? (14b) How did they carry it out? (15a)
3.       [15b-16] What question did Jesus raise to the crowd? (15b) Why? What was his answer? (16a) Why was it a surprise to them? (16b)
4.        [17-18] to their surprise, what question did Jesus ask? (cf. Ps 118:22;  1 Pet 2:6-8) How is this prophecy relevant to the conclusion of this parable?   What is the implication of this prophecy? (18; cf. Isa 8:14-15; Dan 2:34)  What did the teachers of the Law and the chief priests seek to do? Why? Why could they not?(19b) 

5.       In view of this parable, discuss how God planted His vineyard, Israel, and what his expectations and hopes were. (Isa 5:1-7;Jer 2:20-22 ) Also find why Israel failed. (cf. Acts 7:1-53)  Discuss what Israel history teaches us.
