My God and my Lord! (John 20q)

John 20:1-31
Key verse 20:28 Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!" 29 Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

What did the one Jesus loved believe through these findings (8b-9; Cf. Matt 20:22; John 16:29-31)? What might be its implication for the readers?
