1.     [1-6] What is “this reason?”(1a) What did they hear about Paul’s work? (2) What did Paul call it? (3) What is Paul’s insight into the mystery of Christ (4, ref 1:7-10;2:6-8) In considering all these, what aspects of the Gospel was mystery?

2.     [7-13] How did Paul become a servant of the Gospel? (7) Why in such a way? (8-9) What was God’s intent in calling Paul in such a way?(10) Discuss how Paul’s life testified to it. (ref. 1, 8a; Act 24-25)
How did Paul carry it out (12) and why? (11) In view of this what the Ephesians should do? (13)

3.     [14-15]In view of this, what did Paul chose to do? (14; cf. 13) Based on what understanding? (15)

4.     [16-19] In the first prayer for them, what did Paul ask God? (16) For what? (17a) What is his second prayer? In this prayer he asked them to have power to do two things. What are they? (17b-19)

Through these two requests of Paul what can you find in the relationship between believers’ power and the love of Christ?
